Krull-schmidt Decompositions for Thick Subcategories
نویسنده
چکیده
Following Krause [Kra99], we prove Krull-Schmidt theorems for thick subcategories of various triangulated categories: derived categories of rings, noetherian stable homotopy categories, stable module categories over Hopf algebras, and the stable homotopy category of spectra. In all these categories, it is shown that the thick ideals of small objects decompose uniquely into indecomposable thick ideals. Some consequences of these decomposition results are also discussed. In particular, it is shown that all these decompositions respect K-theory.

Abelian Subcategories Closed under Extensions: K-theory and Decompositions
In this paper we study wide subcategories. A full subcategory of R-modules is said to be wide if it is abelian and closed under extensions. Hovey [Hov01] gave a classification of wide subcategories of finitely presented modules over regular coherent rings in terms of certain specialisation closed subsets of Spec(R). We use this classification theorem to study K-theory and “Krull-Schmidt” decomp...
متن کاملDecomposing Thick Subcategories of the Stable Module Category
Let mod kG be the stable category of finitely generated modular representations of a finite group G over a field k. We prove a Krull-Remak-Schmidt theorem for thick subcategories of mod kG. It is shown that every thick tensor-ideal C of mod kG (i.e. a thick subcategory which is a tensor ideal) has a (usually infinite) unique decomposition C = ∐ i∈I Ci into indecomposable thick tensor-ideals. Th...

متن کاملGeneralized Serre duality
We introduce the generalized Serre functor S on a skeletally-small Hom-finite Krull-Schmidt triangulated category C. We prove that its domain Cr and range Cl are thick triangulated subcategories. Moreover, the subcategory Cr (resp. Cl) is the smallest additive subcategory containing all the objects in C which appears as the third term (resp. the first term) of some Aulsander-Reiten triangle in ...
متن کاملThe Remak-Krull-Schmidt Theorem on\ Fuzzy Groups
In this paper we study a representation of a fuzzy subgroup $mu$ of a group $G$, as a product of indecomposable fuzzy subgroups called the components of $mu$. This representation is unique up to the number of components and their isomorphic copies. In the crisp group theory, this is a well-known Theorem attributed to Remak, Krull, and Schmidt. We consider the lattice of fuzzy subgroups and som...
